ABOUT
Karamel McCoy is the founder of Women Travel Abroad and KEM Services LLC, co-host of the top 1% podcast, CEO Chronicles, a business mentor and the owner of a co-working space in Kansas City.
When her military husband deployed for a year, Karamel started a Meetup group in Southern California to make new friends. As an avid traveler, she invited several of these ladies to join her on her trip to Amsterdam and Paris, and they agreed.
Soon, Karamel realized there was a demand for friendly, curated groups of women who could “solo” travel together, and Women Travel Abroad was born. Since starting in 2018 on a shoestring budget, Women Travel Abroad has taken over 430 travelers on 70+ trips across the globe and grown to $4.5 million in revenues at the end of 2023.
When Karamel isn’t organizing trips, mentoring an entrepreneur or managing her co-working space, you can find her on stage. An experienced speaker, Karamel has spoken at conferences, corporations, and universities that showcase her expertise from a decade working in accounting and talent development, along with her charisma from her past as a morning radio DJ.
One of the biggest accomplishments Ms. McCoy is most proud of is her three children and her longtime supportive husband who resides with her in the beautiful state of Kansas.
